Edward Spillum Olson
August 19, 1927 — January 31, 2022
Ed passed away peacefully January 31, 2022 at age 94 surrounded by his loving family. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by daughters Linda Jessner (Maury) and Terri Eggers (Fiancé Tom). Grandchildren Mike Jessner ( Van), Tracy Hale (Mike), Jason Eggers ( Katie), Heather McGee (Sean). He was blessed to enjoy his four great grandchildren Freya, Saylor, William and Barrett. He was lovingly known as “Big Papa” to them.
He will be missed dearly by all and is reunited with his wife of 60 years Jeanne.
A Memorial Service honoring Ed’s life will be held Tuesday February 8, 11 AM at the Luyben Dilday Chapel.
In leiu of flowers the family is suggesting a donation to the Los Angeles Maritime Museum (make note on checkout page… “in honor of Ed Olson”)
