Edna Mae Wright Cutler, 105, of Long Beach, died peacefully at home on January 6. Cutler was born in Chicago, Illinois to parents Eugene and Anne Dobie Wright, and was the oldest of four siblings. When she was a young girl, her family moved to her grandparents' farm in Gardena, and later relocated to Compton. Cutler enjoyed reading and sewing and was an excellent student. She graduated at the top of her class from Compton High School, became a librarian, and worked at Compton and Dominguez high schools. She married Fred Cutler in 1934 and had two daughters. She loved and generously shared her Long Beach home with multiple generations of family. She was active in the Episcopal Church. Cutler is survived by daughters Jeanette Jacobs and Anita Finley, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16th at 11 am, at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church, 6201 East Willow Street, Long Beach. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier.
