Eddie C. Freeny was born February 27, 1936 in Laneville, Texas to his parents, Hubbard and Elnora Freeny.

Eddie attended the first four years of elementary school in Laneville, Texas and completed his elementary education and high school in Los Angeles. There he enjoyed and played many sports. Eddie was a dedicated employee, working at Goodyear Tires for several years, later leaving and joining the Lucky’s Market team, where he served over 30 years. While working in the industry, he also enjoyed cars, he was a member of the Corvette Car Club, where they enjoyed many road trips of fun and friendships.

During his tenure at Lucky’s, he met the love of his life, who he affectionately referred to as “Pretty Lady with a Smile “Ann Marie.

Eddie and Ann Marie spent thirty years together, always turning to their faith in God in blessed times as well as the tough times. This love rendered many enjoyable vacations.

Eddie also enjoyed hosting family and friends, sharing his specialty of BBQ Ribs, playing cards and dominos with family and friends.

While living in Los Angeles, Eddie and Ann Marie were members of Brookins Community AME Church. Once they moved to Temecula, they joined the Grace AME Church where he was a member of the Choir, Pastor’s Steward and promoted to Steward Emeritus.

Eddie leaves to treasure his legacy and memory, children; Tony Freeny (Margaret), Dwayne Freeny (Mirna) and Corbin Freeny. His stepsons; Parris Flowers and Don Ashley (Kim), Henry Cousin (deceased), his grandchildren Edward Dwayne (2nd), Nikki, Latisha, La Toyin, Jessica, Erica, Ashley and Ryan and six great grandchildren, Brothers and sisters in-law Henry Muriel, Edmund, Patricia and Odenville.

Eddie has one brother Luther and two sisters Louise and Eunice who preceded his death and is survived by two brothers and one sister, Gravis, Herbert (Louann) and sister Katrina Freeny. In addition many nieces, nephews, grand and great grands and family.
