Dr. Michael Forte was born to Ernest Eugene Brown, Sr. and Queen E. Forte on January 7, 1957, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Eugene Brown, Sr.; stepfather, Charles McKnight; and two younger brothers, John McKnight and Darryl McKnight.

Dr. Forte received his education in the public-school system of Cleveland, Ohio. He later entered the United States Army and served his country with distinction. He was honorably discharged from the military on February 14, 1978.

Dr. Forte possesses several degrees and certifications as a result of a lifelong commitment to learning and higher education. He attended many academic institutions to achieve this objective: Cleveland State University, The Cleveland Engineering & Scientific Center, Devry University at Long Beach, Keller Graduate School of Management and The University of California at Los Angeles. He completed his ecumenical training at the Holmes College School of Ministry in 1993.

He kept his finger on the pulse of human relationships and crisis intervention through his counseling practice of more than a quarter century. He served as the Associate Minister of KRST Unity Center for a decade and was the Senior Minister of the United Life Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dr. Michael Forte is the Founder of Empowered Living Seminars which was established in 1991, whose single vision of awakening the Power of God in the hearts and minds of mankind was his gift to share with the world.

He is survived by his son, Michael D.D. Forte, three granddaughters, Aaliyah, Aalanie, Aalyssa;  his mother, Queen E. McKnight; his brothers, Ernest E. Brown, Jr., Rodney L. Forte and Ronald Forte; his sisters, Equillia Forte-Mostella, Barbara Banks-Forte, Joyce White, Cynthia Jackson and Tammy McKnight; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
