Dorothy Lee Murdoch

Dorothy Lee Murdoch, 86, of Long Beach, Ca, passed away on July 8th, 2023 from respiratory failure.
Dorothy was born on September 8, 1936 in Bell, California to Jack Hardcastle and Mildred Hamilton. She moved to Naples Island, Ca around 1940. She went to Naples Elementary School, Rogers Middle School, and Wilson High school. Graduating high school in 1954 she went on to start modeling which she continued to do until the 1960’s.
Dorothy had many jobs that included waitressing in Catalina and Las Vegas. She worked at the Golden Sails where she would take her paddle board across the bay to work. She then started working for the Long Beach Unified School District helping students with special needs get jobs within our Long Beach community.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Michelle L. Murdoch, son Michael S. Murdoch, and her two grandchildren Tiffany Murdoch and Livingston Murdoch.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 3916 North Greenbrier Road, Long Beach, CA 90808. There will be a Celebration of Life at American Golden Star Manner located at 3021 North Gold Star Drive, Long Beach, CA 90810 ) from 12:30pm - 3:30pm on August 6th, 2023.
