Dorothy Clara Hainley
November 23, 1922 — April 30, 2016
Dorothy Clara Hainley (93) passed away at home on April 30 surrounded by her loving family.
As matriarch of a diverse and accomplished group she quietly provided foundation, and guidance, cultivating the potential that lies within each family member. Her love of family was unconditional, her courage inspiring.
Dorothy loved a challenging hand at Bridge and more so the good friends that came with it. She savored fine wine, Dodger baseball, and was the first one in the car when a quick turn-around to Vegas was mentioned. She is missed, but cannot be forgotten.
Dorothy is survived by her children; Robert (Gloria) Hainley, Mary (Christopher) Lubner, and Richard (Linda) Hainley. Grandchildren; Patrick, Matthew, Erika, Timothy, Ryan, Adam, Kevin, and Amber. Great Grandchildren; Rachel, Bennett, Madison, Mason, Makenzie and Rhiannon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francis W. Hainley, daughter Linda Kathryn Cullen, and son Francis W. Hainley Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (6180 Willow St. Long Beach, CA 90815) at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 6th. Internment is private.
