Dorothy Anne Bligh

Dorothy Anne (Ireland) Bligh was born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Arnold Bligh of 62 years, son Edward Bligh and siblings Mary Ireland and Allen Ireland. She is survived by her three sons Raymond, Kenneth and Gary and grandchildren Kevin, Amber, Andy, Brian, and Julie. Dorothy is also survived by brother-in-law George “Eddie” Bligh, sister-in-law, Bernadette and their children Joseph, Mark and Karen. A lifelong Episcopalian, Dorothy practiced her faith by passing it to others, raising children, and nurturing friends and neighbors. Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend is missed. Dorothy served as a Cub Scouts den mother for all her sons, taught fifth grade Sunday school, and rooted for the Dodgers from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Dorothy was an avid reader and enjoyed learning with a lasting legacy of egg art. Well done! Thanks be to God. Visitation Friday, March 9 from 4- 7 pm at Luyben Dilday Mortuary.
