Doris was born on January 11, 1932 in McGregor, Iowa to John Bauer and Emma Hunter. She married Billy Alexander Sr. in March of 1949 and married Herbert Pelz in November 0f 1977. Preceded in death by her husband Herb Pelz, mother Emma, Sister, Marga Miller, and grandson Anthony Alexander.

Doris loved to go on travel, from cruises to visiting the casinos. She also enjoyed concerts and watching sports. She especially loved going shopping. She was very devoted to her faith and church. She loved her family and enjoyed being around her grandchildren. Most of her career was in the Aerospace Industry at McDonald Douglas.

Doris is survived by her three children Debbra Alexander (Chris Kramer), Cindy (Joe) Cobaugh, and Billy (Michelle) Alexander. Grandchildren, Victoria Olguin, Valerie (Jonas) Caudill, James (Rachel) Olguin, Ernest Jr., Steven, and Bryan Castaneda, Candice (Ryan) Wilkes, John (Alyssa) Alexander, Joseph (Vanessa) Alexander and Courtney Alexander. Eleven Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Mary Ellen Martinez and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Pacratius Catholic Church, 3519 Saint Pancratius Place, Lakewood, CA 90712. Viewing will be from 10 – 10:30 am before the mass. Entombment to follow directly after mass at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
