It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna Squires, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. Donna was born on September 17, 1940, and passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. Through her journey of 85 years, she touched many lives with her warmth, compassion, humor, and unwavering faithfulness to her family and friends.
Donna was a born to parents Marceline Mary Louise Bishop (nee Beland) and Wayne Denton Bishop in Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her sister Marilyn Evans.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Martin Squires, her two children Dwayne Squires and Tammi Squires, daughters-in-law Deirdre Squires and Elizabeth Watts, her grandchildren Shannon Squires, Jake Watts-Squires, and David Watts-Squires, and her great grandson Liam Gressett.
Donna lived life to the fullest. She always loved her work, whether she was waiting tables or working as an administrative assistant. She made many dear friends over the years and nurtured those relationships throughout her life. Her most cherished friend of 70 years, Saundra Haddad (Sears), was like a sister and was her most precious friend since childhood.
Donna always put her family first. She worked tirelessly keeping a beautiful home and loved to decorate. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining and giving dinner parties for friends and family. Her passion was seeing the world, and she was never happier than when she was cruising to exotic destinations or flying to see other parts of the world.
The loss of our beloved Donna, a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend will leave an immense emptiness. She will be remembered with love forever.
