Donald Lee Abeyta

Born October 8, 1954, the Bellflower resident passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023, at the Paramount Convalescent Care Center.

Don belonged to the Knights of Columbus, the Brotherhood of St. Dismas, Parkcrest Church, an usher at St. Cyprian Church and at St. Pancratius School and Church, since 1954.

Don attended St. Pancratius grade school and junior high school where he graduated in 1971. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1973 and graduated from Long Beach City College in 1975. He also attended Cal State University Dominguez and graduated from Cal State University Long Beach in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

He retired from Northrup Grumman after 16 years as an Expediter. He also, was a part-time grammar school teacher for L.B. Unified Schools and ABC Unified.

Don is survived by his sister, Marcia (Ron) Abeyta-Roussey of Forest Hill, along with his nephews, Ben Roussey of Arizona, and Luke Roussey of Sacramento.

He is also survived by his siblings, Gloria Abeyta of Norwalk, Mattie Abeyta of Long Beach, Donna Abeyta of Bellflower, and Ted (Mary Tellers) Abeyta of Brea.

Don's nieces and nephews, Brenna and Bailey Abeyta both of Lakewood, Theo "Ted" of Los Angeles, Caeli (Jerad Slagel) of Northern California along with great nieces, Remi and Rylan also survive him.
