Dolores Elaine Lena

Dolores Elaine Lena died on May 17, 2018, with her family by her side. Her celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Iranaeus Church in Cypress, CA. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress.
Dolores was born on September 18, 1944 in San Francisco, California to Ernesto Martinez and Odila Valdez. She graduated from Lone Mountain University, which is now part of the University of San Francisco. She married August Louis Lena on May 28, 1966 in San Francisco, California. She later earned her masters degree from Cal State Fullerton. She was a dedicated and passionate teacher and assistant principal who worked her entire career at Furgeson School in Hawaiian Gardens, California.
Dolores was an active member of St. Iraneaus Church. Her interests included family and reading. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sister Vangie Iversen, brothers Ernest Martinez and Michael Martinez, her children and their spouses, Shawn and Catherine Wachter and David and Tammy Lena, and her three grandchildren, Amber, Josh and Bella.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August Lena.
