Hector Dionel Garcia passed away suddenly on May 11, 2026 at the age of 77. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Deborah; his six children, Christopher, Jayson, Adam, Eric (wife Melissa), Sara, and Amanda (husband Rohit), and his six grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy.
A proud United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and Purple Heart recipient, Hector served his country with honor and courage before continuing a life dedicated to service as a deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Throughout his career and beyond, he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and community members alike through his integrity, strength, and unwavering sense of duty.

Whether offering advice, support, a warm meal, or simply his time, he gave generously and wholeheartedly. His compassion and quiet strength touched countless lives and created a legacy of love and service that will endure for generations.
Hector found his greatest happiness surrounded by family and close friends, sharing stories, laughter, and lessons learned through a life well lived. His wisdom, loyalty, humor, and steadfast love will be profoundly missed but forever remembered.
