Delaine "Dee" Hardey

DeLaine “Dee” Harris Hardey, age 70, passed away peacefully March 20,2021 due to Cardiopulmonary Arrest. She was born December 25,1950 in Long Beach, California to J and Lois Harris. She married her high school Sweetheart, David Bruce Hardey, November 29,1969. They were married 51 years.

Dee was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She went to Patrick Henry Elementary School, John Marshall Jr. High School and Lakewood High School. While in High school, she was a Lancerette and active in the school community. She graduated High School in 1969. November 29, 1969 she married her high school sweetheart in a ceremony at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She then made the move to Georgia and later Texas as her husband Served in the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army, they returned to Long Beach, California where they would settle and raise their 6 children in the same neighborhood that she grew up in. Her children were extremely lucky to have her as a stay at home mom for most of their childhood years. She loved being a wife and found great joy and purpose as a mom.

Dee is survived by her husband, David Bruce Hardey, Long Beach, California; daughter Tiffany Lynn Ashcraft {Drew}, Long Beach, California; son Scott David Hardey {Christie}, West Jordan, Utah; son Daniel J Hardey {Becca), Cypress, California; son Michael Howard Hardey, Long Beach, California; daughter Tamara Leigh Gonzalez (Joe), Lakewood, California; daughter Tara Leanne Ua (Mase), Long Beach, California; 21 grandkids; 1 grandson in law; 2 great grandsons; and her sister Robin Jayne Rosenlof (Dennis), Long Beach, California. She is preceded in death by her parents J and Lois Harris. All of whom she loved deeply.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on April 2, 2021

at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
