Dawn Olech, 60, died on Thursday, June 8 at her home in Norwalk, California, after a near three year battle with a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
She leaves her daughter, April Sharon Williams; a son-in-law, Donovan Williams; two grandchildren, Drake and Donovan Williams; her sister, Twyla Kreiner; her brother, Robert Replogle, Jr.; and was the aunt for numerous nieces and nephews.
Dawn Lorraine Replogle was born on November 10, 1956 in Long Beach, California, to Robert Allen Replogle and Josephine Marian Replogle.
On a trip to Disneyland, she reluctantly gave and spelled out her last name to a badgering Brit named Stephen Olech, who would not stop asking for her phone number. He used the spelling of her last name to find her phone number. Not much later, they were married in a private ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married for 28 years upon his death in 2002.
For over 30 years, Dawn worked for several prominent dentists in her career. Her most satisfying tenure was during her most recent contributions to the A Family Dentistry practice in Yorba Linda, California.
Mrs. Olech, loved the beach and the ocean. She was an avid boogie boarder well into her 50s. The last decade of her life was devoted to her grandchildren. She was present for every event or performance. And always took the time out of each day to read a book, play catch, or play a board game or video game with her grandchildren.
