David Lumsden
September 6, 1930 — November 27, 2015
SCHOOL: DUX at High School (Highest award for Best Pupil)
WORK: Early years worked as an apprentice electrician until fully qualified.
NATIONAL SERVICE: Served with Royal Air Force based in North of Scotland
ADVENTURED further afield to Vancouver B.C, Canada. After finding work and settled down, returned to Scotland on vacation to his parents home . Told his workmates he was going back " to find a wife!". At a dance he met Adalene Malcolm which became a ( Whirlwind Romance). Prior to Daves return to Canada they became engaged and Dave stayed on to ensure Adalenes entry documents to Canada were finalised. Six Months later Adalene joined Dave in Vancouver. They married on the 26th October 1957. Lived in Canada for five years and then moved to Long Beach then Lakewood where Dave worked for Edison until he retired.
