David was larger than life, living every day to the absolute fullest and in his own way. He was so full of love & most people that knew him would say that he was the most generous person they had ever met. He had a very special relationship with God & saw the world through his eyes. He was an incredible singer & musician, he won many awards in trap, skeet & sporting clays, rode motorcycles from the time he was 15 and was a published photographer. With his wife Janet, he raised & showed Golden Retrievers, loved sports, horse racing, played poker, pool and he loved to shop and dine out. Being born in Texas, he never forgot his country roots and good upbringing. The family moved to California when he was 6 and David loved growing up in Long Beach & attending Wilson High School, where he met lifelong friends. He was a welder in local 250, a money manager at Merrill Lynch, a business owner and property manager. He married his wife at 20 years old and they had a 42-year long love affair that sustained them both through whatever life threw their way. David became ill at the beginning of this year and he never stopped living large every single day. He praised the nurses at the hospital & told them all they should get raises, always thinking more of others than himself, as much as his wife loved and respected him, he became her hero during that time for his bravery that he showed. His sister Evonne, was unimaginably touched and impressed by the dignity and grace with which he handled himself during this time. His friends called him the God Father because of his uniqueness and his presence and everyone that knew him just called him cool. And true to form his passing was peaceful & beautiful with his wife and sister by his side, holding him as he slid into eternity with his Lord. David, being 8th and youngest child in his family, leaves behind lots of loving friends, his wife, sister, nieces, nephews & cousins. There will forever be a void that will never be filled again on this earth.
