Darlene Taylor Jones Memorial Video Darlene Taylor Jones was born Darlene Taylor on July 13, 1960 to her loving parents, Faye and Alfred Taylor, in Long Beach, CA. Darlene lived most of her life in the Long Beach and Lakewood area. Darlene was blessed to have an identical twin sister, Diane, as well as two older sisters, Linda and Lisa.

A favorite childhood memory of Darlene and Diane's was taking their lunch and roller skating to the church down the street so they could use the swing set, where they would swing for hours. That church, Grace Brethren Church, is the very church we are at today to celebrate Darlene's life.

At the age of 18, Darlene's first full time job was at Farmers and Merchants Bank on 14th Street and Long Beach Blvd.

She began her career there as a teller working her way up to

the loan department, then Assistant Cashier, and eventually becoming an Officer and Assistant Vice President for Farmers

& Merchants Bank. Darlene was employed at F & M Bank for just over 21 years and changed careers when she went into the Commercial Real Estate business. Darlene worked as an Office Manager and later an Executive Assistant at various Commercial Real Estate offices for 14 years. After years of chronic back pain and a shoulder injury which she sustained in January 2012, Darlene took an early retirement in December of 2013.

Darlene met the love of her life, Mark Jones, on Match.com having their 1st date on March 5, 1999. Darlene and Mark married on December 12, 2013, in Temecula at the South Coast Winery Resort. They enjoyed a glorious and loving relationship for almost 16 years. On numerous occasions, Darlene would talk about the wonderful man she loved and how she had waited her whole life for someone like Mark.

Darlene was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend. She is survived by her father, Alfred, her husband, Mark, her sisters, Linda, Diane, Lisa and her husband, Jerry, her nieces, Christina and Michelle, her nephew, Greg, and numerous dear friends. Darlene treasured her beloved kitty, Eddie, as well as cats: Sam, Mary and Eli, and dogs: Teddy, Isabella and Molly.

Darlene will be tremendously missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. The world is a little less kind, a little less warm, and there is a huge hole in our hearts and lives that cannot be filled on this side. We love you, Darlene, and miss you so very much!!!

Our precious angel now in heaven, may you rest in peace for all eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
