Darlene Frances Hunt

Darlene Frances Hunt, 71, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 15, 2021. She was a was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Born in Long Beach, CA on December 7, 1949, Darlene was the daughter of LeRoy and Mary Donna Kirby. She graduated St. Joseph High School as part of the 1 ^st graduating class then attended a couple years at Long Beach City College. She worked 18 years at the Long Beach Navy Base, helped her brother Larry at his Arco station for 5 years, then went on to work at B&W/RJ Reynolds for 28 years as a Sales Representative until she retired in 2020.

Darlene was a member of St. Pancratius Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching sports, putting together puzzles, telling jokes and spending time with friends and family. She will be remembered for her dedication to family and work, her selflessness, kind heart, joyful spirit, sense of humor and her one of a kind laugh.

She is survived by her 4 children Donald, Julie, Christina and Theresa; 9 grandchildren Brittney, Ryan, Makayla, Michael, Emma, Landon, Olivia, Harper and Hudson; and 2 siblings Margaret and Larry.

The Rosary will be held Monday March 29, 2021 at 6pm at the Luyben Dilday Mortuary on 5161 Arbor Road, Long Beach, CA 90808.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday March 30, 2021 at 1030am at St. Cyprian Catholic Church on 4714 Clark Ave, Long Beach, CA 90808. Service will be outdoors. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
