Daniel Valenzuela Noriega was born on February 8, 1925 in Tempe, Arizona. He moved to Los Angeles as a young boy at the age of 10. He joined the Navy at age 18. When he was 22 years old, he married Margaret Valenzuela. They were happily married for 70 years. He worked at Calvary Cemetery when they were first married, and later became a big oil tanker driver for Union Oil. He retired from Union Oil after working there for 30 years and earned many safe driver awards. He often bragged that he had never been in any accidents while driving for a living. He was a talented, self-taught musician, playing the saxophone, piano, accordion, guitar, and harmonica. In addition to playing many instruments, he had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He was devoted to God and Church, a member of the Holy Name Society, Usher at Sunday Mass, Eucharistic Minister, and volunteered in the bereavement group. He loved throwing horseshoes and won many trophies; and loved “camping” and traveling in his motor home.

He raised 4 sons and 2 daughters. He is survived by 4 children, 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
