Dallas M. Stejskal, 88, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2020 in Norwalk, CA.
Dallas was born in Tobias, NE to Louis and Katherine Stejskal on November 21, 1931. He married Shirley Pratt on June 20, 1954 in Tobias, NE. He worked as an Operating Engineer/Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic for Macco and Paramount Pacific for 30 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army as a tank driver. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Long Beach, CA, for 62 years.
Dallas is preceded in death by his father, his mother and his two brothers and seven sisters.
Dallas is survived by his wife Shirley; daughter Cheryl Stejskal; daughter Kathryn Jones and husband Gary; daughter Denise Bowman and husband David; his grandchildren: Mark Jones, Jennifer Johnson, Ryan Bowman, Jared Bowman; his great-grandchildren: Ellie, Kori, Haley and Abigail.
Pallbearers will be Gary Jones, David Bowman, Mark Jones, Ryan Bowman, Jared Bowman, and Jake Johnson.
Funeral services and burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cypress on November 13, 2020 with Pastor Kevin Kritzer of Bethany Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Luyben Dilday Mortuary.
