Clarence "Chuck" Crew was born March 14, 1936, in Detroit Michigan to Harry and Neita Crew. He grew up with three sisters, Virginia, Janet and Janie. He served in the United States Marine Corps from November 1953 to November 1956 where he played the trumpet in the United States Marine Band. In 1957, he moved to sunny California to join his sisters, and later met his wife, Carrie, the love of his life. They married June 5, 1959, in Holidale, CA, where he became the big brother to six new little sisters. Together they have three children, Gary, Shari and David and have ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Chuck became a Los Angeles City Firefighter in 1961, where he served the city of LA for 32 years. Being a fireman, allowed him the time to pursue other careers, of which he had many. He worked hard, but he played hard too. The majority of his free time off was spent on family vacations on the water, fishing and boating. He probably taught over 80 people to water ski. His home was always filled with love. Chuck was a Godly, compassionate, kind man who would do anything, for anyone. On March 11, 2025, Chuck went home to be with the Lord, and heaven has a new bass.
