Christopher Norman Raynard Gagne

Christopher Norman Raynard Gagne was born in Torrance, CA on August 18, 1961, to Addie Barbara (Fruit) and Roland Wilferd Joseph Gagne.  Chris was the youngest of his four siblings.  He grew up in Southern California and was a dedicated athlete on his high school’s track team.  Chris enlisted in the United States Navy upon graduating from Esperanza High School.  He met the love of his life, Herminia Camagong through a mutual friend who set them up on a date.  Prior to meeting Hermie in person, Chris received her picture from his friend.  He promptly went home and showed Hermie’s picture to his mom, Addie and declared “Mom, this is the woman I am going to marry”.  It was love at first sight.  Chris and Hermie would get married and raise two children, Abigail and Steven.

Chris was a chef and loved to cook.  During his career in the Navy, Chris cooked delicious meals for thousands of his colleagues in the Navy mess hall.  After his career in the Navy, Chris continued to work as a chef for many years at Brooks College, cooking warm, delicious meals for thousands of students that would come to eat in the school cafeteria.

Chris was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who loved his family fiercely.  His family was his life.  He enjoyed fishing, playing games, watching movies and cooking delicious meals for his family and loved ones.  He loved to make people laugh.

Chris passed away on November 9, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family.  He is survived by his loving wife Hermie, daughter, Abigail and son-in-law Gordon (Thompson) and 2 grandchildren Loren and Jacob, son Steven, his brother, Roland and sister-in-law Benita, and brother David and many extended family members, nieces and nephews.  Chris was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Addie.

Forever loved and always in our hearts.
