Chris was born Christopher Edward Collier on October 3, 1959 to mother, Joan Marie, and father, Carl Eugene. He came easy after only a two hour labor! He was born a little brother to his sister, Linda Collier.

From a young age Chris was into the military. Toy guns, military models, and GI joes were his favorite. He also loved the trains that Uncle Dick gave him.

He spent his teenage years in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. He was a surfer kid and it showed with his sun-bleached blonde hair and tanned skin. He spent countless hours with friends, Larry, Jerry, Fred, Dale and Glenn out in the waves.

His first job was at a Hot Dog stand in Hermosa.

He then began working at Hughes Aircraft where his Grandma Georgia, father, mother, and sister already worked! He swept the dock as a warehouse worker in El Segundo then was promoted to containerization in the Long Beach location. He always did more than what was asked of him.

His hobbies at this time included paint balling, model assembly & painting, and grilling steaks!

At the age of 27, he became a father when daughter Amanda Marie was born. Christopher James followed the year after. And Logan Max was born in 1993. By then, Chris was working in hazardous material heavy trucking.

He then switched careers to driving a heavy freezer truck for the Long Beach Unified School District. He always took great pride in his work and his route.

The final chapter of his life was spent enjoying his retirement by metal detecting at the beach, sorting and collecting US coins, and watching old World War ll movies. He had weekly lunch and movie meet-ups with his mom and Rick.

He is survived by his three children; Amanda Marie, Christopher James, and Logan Max and his grandsons; Connor Anthony and Kaleb Christopher.
