Chelsey Davidson

Chelsey Paulette (Ellsbury) Davidson was born on October 22, 1975 to Keturah Roccazzella and Tim Ellsbury in San Diego, CA.
Chelsey grew up with her brothers and sisters in the Bellflower / Lakewood area of Southern California and enjoyed acting, performing on the tall flag and drill teams, cheer, drama, the Associated Student Body and many other activities throughout high school. She graduated from Bellflower High School in 1993 and continued on to study at the University of California at Los Angeles. There she enjoyed the friendship of her sorority sisters in Alphi Phi, as well as many others that she easily befriended. Chelsey was most likely the first to start the dancing, and normally last to stop out in the hills of Westwood.  She was extremely proud of the work and dedication that it took for her to be able to attend UCLA and very much enjoyed her years there. After college, Chelsey’s career in the beauty industry took her from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to San Francisco and back to Los Angeles. Chelsey’s large family of co-workers, as well as the work she did with the Estee Lauder Company brought her happiness throughout her twenties and thirties. She flourished in Northern California, and so enjoyed the city and the friends that came into her life while she was there.
On December 26, 2012, within months of reuniting with a young love, Chelsey married Matthew Lee Davidson. Chelsey and Matt grew up in the same community and even attended the same church.  A chance encounter with Matt’s sisters at church one afternoon in 2012 led to their re-connecting and they were never apart from that moment on. They were made for each other and Matt brought so much happiness to Chelsey throughout the most joyous and the toughest moments in her life. In recent years, Chelsey was happy to become an aunt multiple times over. There was never a more proud or generous Aunt.
Chelsey touched everyone’s heart that she met. She was a shining light and enjoyed sharing her happiness and humor with everyone around her. Family, friends and her husband are often reminded of her playful spirit, how close she always was to a smile and laughter and most of all, how they were cherished and loved by her.
After seven years of a brave fight, Chelsey succumbed to her illness on Friday, July 8, 2016 under the care of the USC Norris Cancer Center. Chelsey Davidson is survived by her husband, Matthew Lee Davidson, her parents Waldo and Keturah Roccazzella and Tim Ellsbury, her siblings - sisters Lynette Rochelle (son Evan), Nina Danielle and Norah Katelynn (daughter Stella)  and her brothers Steven Kneale (wife Heather, children Jaxon, Hayden and Reagan) and David Noahl. There are countless more loving relatives that she is survived by that are far too numerous to name.

The celebration of her life will take place at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Bellflower Ward) on Saturday, July 23, 2016. The address is 16115 Studebaker Rd., Cerritos, CA 90703. The burial will be immediately following the services at the Artesia Cemetery located at 11142 Artesia Blvd., Cerritos, CA 90703.
