Charles Robert Simmerman

Charles “Chuck” Robert Simmerman 73, unexpectedly passed and went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2023. He was preceded by his dad Lyle, mom MaryAnn, and his brothers Mike, John, Jimmy and Tom.

He is survived by his wife Denise Simmerman of 15 years, his sons Bob and Matthew, his daughters Angela and Shannon, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was so happy to become a grandfather and great grandfather.

Chuck was born in Hastings, Nebraska on Nov. 27, 1949, son of Lyle & MaryAnn Simmerman. He was the middle child of seven siblings, all boys. They moved to California in the mid 1950’s and made it their home and stayed in CA.

Chuck loved his family, enjoyed golfing, he very much loved his classic cars and spent a lot of time working and fixing these cars just like he wanted them. His most recent membership was with the Sweltzers So.Cal. Car Club and years ago he was a Sultans Car Club member, and also was a member of the Midnighters Car Club. He was a fan of the Steelers football and loved watching the games with Denise and taking a vacation to Pittsburgh to see a game.

This is what he would say, “I love to tell jokes, so if you have a good joke for me please share with me...makes me laugh.” Chuck would always have jokes to tell anybody, anywhere! He was the kind of a man that made people laugh and was ready to make new friends and always willing to help his friends when needed.

He will be missed by many .
