Catherine Elaine Mcpike

Born to Rose Ida and Joseph Marion in Mitchell, South Dakota on February 26, 1941, Catherine Elaine, 82, is survived by her five children.  John, Charlotte, Micheala, Laurie and Joseph.  After a lengthy time away from her husband Gene, she completed her journey to be reunited with him on January 1, 2024.

In addition to her children, Catherine has 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Catherine spent most of her adult life dedicated to raising her children and grandchildren in between working at Home Savings and Northrup.  She always made time to teach, guide and listen to all that sought advice from her.  The lessons she passed along are guiding principles that are leading the way for her grandchildren as they become grandparents themselves.

Catherine held many fond memories of family times with her aunts, uncles and cousins in South Gate while all the children played.  She never forgot about distant family members still in South Dakota.  Whenever given a chance, she was sure to tell a story or five.
