Catalina Martinez

Catalina Leon Martinez was born on May 4, 1932 in Potam in the State of Sonora, Mexico. She passed away at the age of 87 at her home in Lakewood on July 8, 2019, with her family and friends at her side.

Catalina was a caring and courageous wife and mother and was skilled in sewing, cooking, and baking for her family. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved dogs. Most importantly she was a very spiritual person connected to the Catholic Church through her faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Catalina is survived by her devoted husband Antonio (Tony) Martinez whom she was married to for 46 years. She is also survived by her son Bobby (Robert) Mena and her three grandsons, Anthony, Robert, and Adrian, her sister-in-laws Ana, Angela Aranda, Mary Skiles, Carmen Archuletta, Wilma Martinez, and brother-in-laws Paulo Martinez, and Manuel Alanis, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jose Leon and Guadalupe Lopez Leon, her brother Arturo and sisters Amalia and Consuelo.

After four years on hospice care and with constant loving care from her husband Tony and caregiver Joanne, may you rest in peace as you enter eternal life.
