Carole Jean Ross

Carole peacefully passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 74.  Carole was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.  She served as a preschool teacher and director at the local YMCA in Lakewood, CA for over 30 years.  Carole had a passion for working with small children and used her creative artistic abilities every chance she could to make her classroom come to life with color and expression.  Carole was loved dearly by the love of her life and husband George.  Carole is preceded in death by her husband George, and parents Ed and Angie.  She is survived by her 4 children, Mary Ann, Angela, Michael and James.  Carole was the grandmother of 7, and the great-grandmother to 3 great-grandsons, who provided her with endless joy and memories for the duration of her life.  Loved deeply by her family, Carole was also cherished by her friends, neighbors, colleagues and local community.  The family would like to express thanks to all those involved in Carole’s healthcare, primarily her healthcare team.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Kidney Fund in efforts to fight kidney disease and/or to the American Cancer Society.
