Carol Ann Bancroft Profile Photo

Carol Ann Bancroft born on April 25, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio was the daughter of Perce and Mary Helen Johnson and sister to Mary Jean, Kathleen and Billy. After graduating from high school she made her way to Rosary college in Chicago majoring in French and then received her masters degree in Spanish at the University of Mexico City. Upon meeting and marrying Gaylord Bancroft they moved to California, raising their three children Christopher, James, and Ellen. Once the children had grown, she spent 24 wonderful years at Rosary high school as the librarian and a Spanish teacher. In retirement she was devoted to her children, and grandchildren Sarah, Caroline, Aaron, Emma and Molly and various charitable causes. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, book club, volunteering and scrapbooking. Wherever she lived she always made friends. Her gentle and kind spirit endures forever and her legacy lives on in her beloved family.

In light of the evolving public health advisory, our family has decided to postpone the public ceremonies for our dear mother, Carol Bancroft. We will hold a Mass of Remembrance and reception in her honor when things have settled down. We will notify all her dear friends when we've set a date.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Bancroft family
