Bonnie Jean Enyeart

Bonnie Jean Enyeart was born in Hot Springs Arkansas on October 16, 1926 and passed peacefully at her home in Long Beach on March 12, 2017. At 90, she had lived a good long life and touched many people's lives along the way.

Jean is survived by her daughter Rosemary, son Mark and Daughter in law Donna. Her Grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Ryan, Adam, Jaedon and Isabelle, and her great grandchild Khale. She will now join her mother Pearl, husband LeRoy, and grandson Michael who all proceeded her in passing.

As a young woman, Jean moved out to California during WWII where she met a young Indiana Marine LeRoy Enyeart. Love blossomed and they were married in Las Vegas in 1945. They remained in California for the rest of their lives where they resided in Long Beach and raised a family. LeRoy became a longshoreman known as "Barstow" on the docks and Jean became active in the ILWU Local 13 women's auxiliary. Although now Californians, they often took family vacations back to Indiana and Arkansas over the years to stay close to their friends and family.

During the years in Long Beach, Jean was a faithful hardworking homemaker that held the household together while meeting the tiresome needs of her children and their friends. She was an early founding member of Carson Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School to young teenagers for many years. She also held bible study classes for various women's groups that met weekly and developed many lasting friendships from those groups. Right up until the end, Her faith remained strong and carried her into eternity.

Over the years, Jean and Roy were blessed to have many wonderful neighbors on Charlemagne Avenue to share their lives with. To this day, those neighbors have remained close and have been such a blessing to her right up until her passing. I am sure that in looking back, she would say that she lived a happy full life and wouldn't have changed a thing.
