Beverly June Woltkamp

Beverly June (Spriggs) Woltkamp passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019. On that day, Beverly was reunited in heaven with the Love of her Life, Gareld (Gary) Leo Woltkamp, who predeceased her on Saturday, August 23, 2014.

Beverly was born in West Mineral, Kansas on June 14, 1935. She graduated from Pittsburg State University of Pittsburg, Kansas, as a Home Economics Major. In 1958, Beverly and Gary were joined in marriage after meeting at the Baileyville Picnic in Baileyville, Kansas, while Gary was home on leave from the Air Force. After Gary graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas and Beverly gave birth to their first child, Donald, Beverly and Gary moved to California. Here, they added to their growing family, Susan, Debbie and Anthony. Beverly and Gary loved and lived together while raising their four children for 56 years.

Beverly and Gary were parishioners and active members of St. Pancratius Church in Lakewood, California for the majority of their married life. In fact, Beverly was a much loved teacher at the St. Pancratius Parish school for many years where she taught 5th grade.

During those 56 years, Beverly and Gary welcomed six grand-daughters, one step-grandson, two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter into their loving family.

Beverly is survived by her children; Donald Woltkamp, Susan & Curt Itson, Deborah & John Gomez and Daughter In-Law Amy Woltkamp. In addition, she is survived by her six grand-daughters; Sarah & Gian Marcucci, Jessica & Peter Gasser, Cassandra Itson, Jennifer & Vlad Catu, Adeline Woltkamp, Annika Woltkamp and step-grandson Christopher and Andrea Itson. Further, she is survived by her two great-grandsons Marc Marcucci and Wyatt Brokaw & her great-granddaughter Meyer.

Beverly is predeceased by her Husband, Gareld (Gary) Leo Woltkamp; her Son, Anthony (Tony) John Woltkamp; and her parents John and Julia Spriggs of Columbus, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life for Beverly will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Pancratius Parish Church, 3519 St. Pancratius Place, Lakewood, CA at 10:00 AM. A Viewing will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Luyben-Dilday Mortuary, 5161 Arbor Rd, Long Beach, CA, between the hours of 5 to 7 PM.
