Beth Reinard passed away on September 7, 2024, at the way-too young age of 58, following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Beth’s last days were exactly as she wished, at home surrounded by close family and friends. In those last days, Beth continued to be exactly who she was in life: the perfect combination of blunt and laugh-out-loud hilarious, kind and more concerned with others than herself.
Beth was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania on July 31, 1966. Her family moved to Long Beach when she was two years old, and she made Long Beach her home for the rest of her life. She attended St Joseph’s Elementary, St. Anthony High School, and she graduated from Cal State Long Beach. Beth held a variety of jobs in her lifetime but found her calling when she started a business performing neurological testing in doctors’ offices. She loved helping and she loved people, so her career was a perfect fit. There is no doubt that her calm demeanor and gentle teasing were a comfort to her mostly elderly patients.
While Beth loved life and her many adventures, nothing mattered to her more than her daughter Kellie and her son Graham - her “chickens” - as she called them. Her relationship with them was an admirable balance of love, support and letting them figure things out on their own.
Beth will be lovingly remembered by parents, Howard and Barbara, her brothers, Scott, David, Kevin, and Tim, her long-term partner Don Mooney, countless family members, and friends she had gathered from every period of her life.
A memorial service will be held on 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 27th at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Long Beach. A reception will immediately follow at El Dorado Park Golf Course.
The family requests that those in attendance wear blue (Beth’s favorite color), or light colors, in keeping with Beth’s wish that we celebrate her life.
