Bernard E. Torres

Bernard “Bennie” Torres, 93, was born in Brawley, CA on December 4, 1929, and died peacefully in Downey, CA in the presence of his loving family on January 15, 2023.

Bennie joined the U.S. Army in 1949 and served during the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged in 1951 and eventually met his future wife Gloria.

Bennie along with his older brother Phil, became well known in Long Beach, CA, and the neighboring cities for their outstanding flooring business.
Bennie is survived by his sons, Bernard Jr and Daniel, daughter-in-laws, Brenda and Chris, and 3 grandchildren, Arrah, Daniel, Alicia.

A Graveside will be held on Wednesday, January 25 at 11:30 am at All Souls Cemetery, 4400 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807.
