Benina M. Sanchez

Benina was born in Water Canyon New Mexico. Her family moved to Magdalena when she was a small child and raised there. She is a twin to her sister Laura Geier, her remaining sibling. Her other brothers and sisters have passed before her. Clara, Stella, Helen, Julian and Dennis.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Pete Sanchez in Magdalena, at St Mary's Magdalene church. They were married 49 years.

Our father passed April 2001. She decided to sell their home and moved to Idaho, back to California, and her final home Tucson, Arizona with her daughter Abby and son-in-law Scott.

She fell ill, was in hospice care. After several weeks the priest gave her the last rites. She passed peacefully 7/11/2026 with lots of love surrounded by family.

Our mother leaves behind her daughters and son in laws, David & Kathy Avila, Scott and Abby Cleveland, son Richard, and son and daughter in law, Joey & Karen Sanchez. Ten grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. Her sister Laura Geier, her sister in laws, Cecilia, Doris, viola, and Vicki, her brother in law Bobby. All her nieces, and nephews, family, and friends who were like family.
