Bartolome S. Flores, Sr., commonly known as Bart was born on August 24, 1934 to Vivencio & Perpetua Flores in Iloilo, Philippines. He is survived by his 3 sons Joseph (Ana) Flores, Bartholomew (Leah) Flores, Erwin (Marjorie) Flores, 3 daughters Edna, Emma, Jocelyn and daughter-in-law Josephine Flores, his grandchildren, Kristine Joy (Neil), Nino Jose, Anjanette, Mariel, Beah Grace, Nathaniel, Ruth Ann, Jasmine Jon, Angeli Mary, Marwin James and 1 great grandchild Logan. Bart is also survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and many loving nieces and nephews and their extended families. He is predeceased by his wife Avelina Flores and son Jonathan Flores.
Throughout Bart's lifetime he worked as a Telephone Cable Splicer-contractor from Philippines to the USA. This is the same nature of work that is currently the occupation of his 2 sons. He was the kind of person who treasured everything, all his mementos whether big or small, with or without value as long as these touched his life one way or another.
Bart was very friendly. He knew everyone in the neighborhood. When he was out on his scooter he greeted everyone he met. He was always the life of the party or any gathering. His laughter and loud voice were both contagious.
Bart loved bowling so much. This was his life even before his retirement. At his age of 86, he still bowled and only stopped due to the pandemic. He was the oldest bowler in the alley and continued to compete even out of town events. 3 years ago he received the lifetime achievement award as the oldest bowler in their congregation in Las Vegas.
Our beloved Tatay & Lolo, you will be deeply missed by your families, friends, and all those who knew you.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. Amen.
