Barbara Jean Neary Memorial Video Barbara Jean Neary, 85, passed away peacefully in her home on December 24, 2014. Barbara was born on March 1, 1929 on North Island in San Diego. She was an identical twin to Mother Virginia, O.C.D., who preceded her in death in 2001. Barbara graduated from Pasadena City College and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. She is survived by her loving and very dedicated husband of 38 years, Robert Neary, daughter Jan Nordell, daughter Carolyn Kent and her husband Steve, and their three daughters and her granddaughters, Amy, Madeline and Meagan. She is also survived by her oldest sister Peggy Peyton from Rockville, Maryland, younger sister Sister Loretta Flood, C.S.J., and brother Thomas Flood and his wife Jeanine from San Diego. Barbara also has many nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2015 at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church in Long Beach with a reception to follow.
