Ava Sue Jones
October 22, 1934 — May 21, 2018
Ava Sue Jones was born on October 22nd, 1934, daughter of Homer and Viola Reid. She was married to Kenneth Jones, mother of five, and the world’s sweetest grandmother to eighteen very lucky grandchildren.
Ava was born in Oklahoma and ventured to sunny California in the mid-1960s. She worked hard and lovingly raised five children on her own: Susan, Kenneth, Linda, Richard and Johnny.
Most would say Ava’s never ending career was raising most of her grandchildren. There was no better place than wrapped in her loving embrace. With her quiet strength, she always wore the sweetest smile, even in the toughest times. She also loved to volunteer at her local elementary school, where everyone knew and loved her as “Mrs. Jones.”
God blessed her with a humble spirit and a graceful heart. She loved doing for others and always put their needs before her own. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished and remembered by her children, grandchildren and friends.
