Arthur Patrick Golden was born on May 14,1930 to James and Hannah Golden in New York, NY and passed peacefully at home in Long Beach, CA on April 17, 2019 with his loving wife of 66 years by his side.

His favorite sports teams were the LA Dodgers, Nortre Dame (and anyone playing against USC), Green Bay Packers/Rams. He was an avid Long Beach State fan and supporter. He spent majority of his free time watching or attending sporting events. He also loved getting away by camping and fishing at Fisherman’s Retreat or traveling with his wife. He loved to play golf. He also coached a variety of sports (which included coaching his daughter Geraldine and son Patrick) such as, high school track, little league baseball and Long Beach Motor Patrol youth baseball team.
He served as a charter member of the Long Beach Kop Outs camping club and was a long time Long Beach State Athletic booster.
