Armando “Boy” Balaoro has passed away to be with our Almighty Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 3:30 in the morning due to COVID19 related complications.
He was born on December 28, 1956 to Carmelita & Pacifico Balaoro. He married Evangeline David and had one son Alexander Balaoro. He is survived by his mother; his son; his two grandchildren, Alecxie & Alexandrouz; great grandson, Ryle; his siblings and their spouses: Lita and Kelvin Jackson, Divina Smith, Elvira Balaoro, Abraham Balaoro, July Balaoro, Fernando Balaoro, Rolly & Jhoanna Balaoro, and Noel & Rose Balaoro; and extended families. He is predeceased by his father Pacifico and his wife Vangie.
Kuya (a Tagalog word for older brother) Boy lived most of his life in the Philippines while his mother and siblings lived in California, United States. Because of his marital status at the time of family emigration, he remained in our home country, where he lived with his wife until she lost her battle with colon cancer in 2009.
After years of waiting, his US petition was approved and he was finally reunited with Nanay Miling in 2018. Kuya Boy was able to immediately find work as a caregiver in a small home care facility. Because of his desire to help out his family in the Philippines, he worked tirelessly, even 7 days a week because he selflessly thought a day of work is better than just sitting around resting at home. His generous heart has helped many of our family and friends in the Philippines and he never refused anyone who asked for help. He never forgot the people who helped him back home and sought to give back whenever he could.
He enjoyed giving and his kindness and generosity was immeasurable. He touched many lives through his love, his jokes and his giving soul. He will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, his “kumpares”, and all who knew him.
