Anthony Frank Salvitti “Tony” passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on Monday July 22, 2019 at the wonderful age of 90.
Anthony was born and raised in the City of Patchogue located along the Coast of Long Island, New York. In 1957, he and his wife Victoria headed West to reside in the City of Compton, California. Two short years later in 1959, the Salvitti’s found their permanent home in the City of Lakewood.
Anthony was the ultimate loving family man, whom shared his courageous smile and kind heart with everyone around him. He is survived by his two wonderful Daughters Gloria Duarte and Donna Nagle, his grandchildren Corey, Adam, Travis, Dominic, Darren and Corinne. Travis’s wife Danielle Matthews. Corinne’s husband John Costa with sons Jayden and Justin. His son in law Daniel Duarte, his sister Ann Monti and many nieces and nephews both here in California and the New York area.
Anthony spent his working career in the Construction and Steel Working industries before concluding his career in the Electrician field.
Anthony had a huge passion for family with his eyes set on living life to the absolute fullest! He enjoyed activities such as daily trips to the casino, fishing and spending time with friends and family. Most notably, Anthony’s true love was for the game of Baseball and his beloved Los Angeles Dodgers. Year after year his loyalty ran true as he always bled blue.
Anthony heads to eternal life having impacted the lives of so many. The memories and legacy left behind will be cherished and held very dear for many years to come.
