Ann Shirley Balint-Fields Profile Photo

In remembrance of Sandy "Ann" Balint Fields.  A loving wife, mom, sister, grandma and friend.  She was born and raised in Ainsworth, Nebraska then moved to California with her mom in her teens.  Sandy lived in Hawthorne for a while, did some cigarette ad modeling and enjoyed driving the main drag at night with her girlfriends.  Sandy met her first Husband Daniel "Danny" Balint while working at a grocery store and they soon got married and bought a house in Long Beach California in 1967.   Her family were huge off-road racers and spent a lot of time in the desert and Mexico going too and racing formula one cars and baja bugs. Racing is how she met her current husband Robert "Bobby Joe" Fields and they enjoyed many adventures together, from racing, white water rafting, trips to Nashville and a cruise to Alaska. They were always laughing and having a good time. They took many road trips to Las Vegas, as they both enjoyed the Vegas entertainment.  Long weekend drives for a nice lunch along the coast, playing cards, watching jeopardy and making great meals were some of their pastimes together.

Sandy was An avid quilter and very respected member of the quilters guild. With many blue ribbons under her belt, she had a passion for sewing and putting together some of the most beautiful color combinations and patterns you will ever see, her quilts were a treasure to receive and you knew she put her heart and soul in every stitch.

Sandy loved to cook for her family always making family favorites as only she could.  She watched so may cooking shows and love trying out new recipes and writing notes on the recipes to know what changes they needed.  If music was playing she was dancing, if shots were being poured she was doing one, Sandy was always the life of the party and we miss her greatly.

Sandy was survived by her husband Robert Joe Fields, her Brothers Richard Bower and Don Bower, Her Daughters Danielle Shinnebarger (Mike Shinnebarger) Margeret Eddy (Brian Eddy) and her grandchildren Damion Potter Fields, Kalya Eddy, Karyssa Eddy and Sierra Eddy, and Her turtle "Tootie."
