Angela Smittie

Angela Smittie was born on August 11, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from Wyandotte HS, Angela later moved to Los Angeles, California where she studied and received her degree in Respiratory Therapy. She spent a lot of time bringing love, hope and happiness to family and friends and all whom she encountered. Angela was a mother figure to most, providing love, support, and life lessons to those she had a privilege of raising.

Along with splendid event planning, Angela had exceptional cooking and catering skills, of which she shared with the homeless and less fortunate. Everyone looked forward to her tasty meals all over the United States! Especially her 7-UP cakes.

Angela leaves to celebrate her life…..siblings: Wayman Miller, of Kansas City, KS and Paralee Paris(Norman) of Kansas City, KS. Special cousins Natalie Lee of Dallas, TX and Juanita Gipson of Long Beach, CA; niece Margie Miller of Dallas, TX and nephew Steven Miller of Kansas City, KS and a host of nieces, nephews, and close cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents

Margie Gipson and Ricky Pope; Grandparents Nathaniel and Exie B. Gipson; Siblings: Julia Ann Miller, Kay Diane Brown, Carmen Smittie and Maurice Deloney.

Angela will forever be loved and missed by many. She was able to touch and inspire an incredible amount of individuals throughout her lifetime. We will forever cherish her legacy.
