Angel Valentin de la Nuez Lopez passed away in Downey, CA, on Saturday, February 11, 2017.
Angel is survived by his wife Lourdes, two daughters, Lourdes Yonce and Maria Clark, two sons-in-law, James Yonce and David Clark, granddaughter Kayla Solomon and her husband Joseph, grandsons Steven Lo Coco, Brandon and Matthew Clark and one great grandchild, Killian Michael Solomon.
Born on October 8, 1935 in Havana, Cuba, Angel escaped the communist regime of Fidel Castro in 1961 leaving behind his homeland, family and friends. Upon taking residence in the United States, he settled in Southern California, spending most of his lifetime in Downey, California. He made a name for himself as an outstanding master electrician, working for over 55 years in that trade.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and to his elation, devoted great grandfather. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Luyben Dilday Mortuary, 5161 Arbor Rd., Long Beach, CA, 90808.
