Anastasio Martinez Jr, also known to his loved ones as “Pepe” passed away suddenly in his home in Paramount, CA on May 10, 2021 @ 10:38 pm due to a short battle with Heart Failure. Pepe leaves behind his wife and best friend of 17 years, Leticia, and his 5 beautiful children that he adored, Jazlyn, Ivan, Josh, Ariel, and Freddy.

Pepe was born on January 24, 1978 to Aurora  Alcaraz and Anastasio Martinez. Pepe had a total of 7 siblings. From his mom’s side he is survived by his sister Sonia Contreras and his brother Alfredo Martinez. On his dad’s side he is survived by his brothers Tito Martinez, Eduardo Martinez,  Azucena Martinez-Galvez, and Sandra Martinez, and Jr. Martinez. Pepe loved ALL of his nieces and nephews, Veronica, Marisol, Brenda, Yvette, Helen, Emily, Hannah, Samantha, Jolene, Gianna, Avianna, Olivia, Arianna, Nathan, and Ayden.

Pepe worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Villa Serena Health Care. It was an appropriate job for Pepe since he loved to help. He enjoyed having the ability to fix or improve things. Villa Serena is a second home to the many people who work there and the many patients who actually live there. Pepe loved his Villa Family. He took pride in his job and cared about the wellbeing of Villa and most of all, the never ending bond that he created inside of it. He always took the time to listen to others needs and help in any way he could. He was truly loved by all.

Pepe had so many good qualities. He was a big grizzly bear who touched everyone in a special way. He enjoyed collecting legos and hot wheels. He loved playing Pokemon. Pepe was a big kid at heart. He was passionate about his family, his relationships with his friends, and the little joys he found in life. He had the amazing ability to connect with every single person he met because he had the gift of finding a value in everyone and everything. We have been blessed to know and love our Grizzly Bear, he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
