Alicia Wassink was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 18th, 2024. She was born to Jeannette & Archibald Jones in the city of Pensacola, Florida on July 1st, 1940. She spent most of her childhood moving from state to state as her father was a Navy Sailor. Eventually they ended up in Lakewood, California.
At a very young age she was challenged with the death of her younger sister Linda Lou Jones at the age of 13. From this she went onto get married at 18 years old and made a life for herself with three children and a marriage that would last 20 years. During these 20 years she was a homemaker. She was very proud of her three children. Her oldest Donald Jr. spent many years in the Navy and went onto get his MBA from Texas A&M. Her daughter Debbie had three children too and was a homemaker. Her youngest son Daniel got his Master’s degree and has a family of his own.
The second half of her life she was faced with the challenge of making it on her own. She faced this challenge head on by going back to college and getting her 4-year college degree from Cal State Fullerton in Child Development. She spent many years substitute teaching before she retired. During her retirement she spent many hours in bible studies and with other women who loved Jesus just like her.
Mom, we love and miss you, but know someday we will see you again when we have that perfect relationship in heaven.
