It is with great peace that we announce the passing of Alice Wise. She left this world on April 17, 2023, and is now with Christ!

Alice was affectionally referred to as Gigi. She was eccentric and passionate and lived life to the fullest. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks in her life, Alice never lost her persevering spirit to overcome. She was a great example of someone who navigated the brokenness in this world with a joy for living. The joy of the Lord was truly her strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)

Her passion for living was most evident in the ways she celebrated those she loved. Especially her husband Robert. He was her greatest joy. She always delighted to share that he was the one who embraced her completely and without judgment. He made her feel seen, understood, and unconditionally loved.

Her love of travel, music, singing, and dancing was always expressed with extravagant celebration. Her love of entertaining and especially her delight for a great meal, was always a labor of love. She devoured everything as if it were the most delectable feast. It was not unusual for her to burst into song in the middle of a conversation or meal. Singing her favorite songs in Spanish, Italian, German, and French became a gift and comfort for everyone around her.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She touched the lives of so many people during her time on earth, especially her grandchildren. Her childlike spirit and love of hospitality were a perfect way to express her love. The endless coloring competitions, games, pool picnics, and Ball Park Pizza excursions were as much a joy for her as for her grandchildren.

She will certainly leave a void in this world. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she impacted. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and her unwavering faith in God will live on forever. There is no one like Gigi!

Rest in peace, Mom/Gigi. We rejoice knowing you are now devouring the most amazing feast of all and leading the choirs of heaven in song!
