On March 28, 2015, a beautiful Saturday morning, Alice M. Tavarez passed away peacefully. She was an amazing mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a wonderful friend to all. Alice was proceeded in death by her loving husband Benjamin and their oldest son Dennis Paul. She is survived by her children, daughters Lisa (Robert) and Christina (Steve), and son Steven (Dana), eight grandchildren Gregory, Danielle, Anthony, Steven, Anna, Kara, Gabriella and Allison, and great-grandson Jase. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Alice was an avid bowler, a loyal Knights of Columbus wife, a "red hats" lady, a member and treasurer of the Reginas and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She also volunteered endlessly at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and School, and at the Knights of Columbus Hall for bingo and the Lenten Fish Fry. Alice retired from Security Pacific Bank as a Vice President and later worked as a bookkeeper for the Prieto Construction Company. She was a great listener, offered honest advice, and was always there when needed. We were blessed to have her for 85 years, and her life was an inspiration. We will remember and love her always. Rest in peace, Mom.
