Adriana A. Rosales

Adriana A. Rosales age 87 passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her home in Lakewood, CA. She was born on April 28, 1931 in Molina, Chile, South America. Adriana graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Public Health Nursing with a thesis in Epidemiologic Studies from the University of Chile, School of Nursing, Santiago, Chile in March of 1954. She worked as a surgical nurse and public health nurse from March 1953 to June 1958 in Chile. She came to the United States to work as a staff nurse and a psychiatric nurse from July 1958 to December 1960 in New Jersey. She moved to Los Angeles, CA in February of 1961 to work in the neuro medicine ward at County General Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. She worked professionally in the Los Angeles area at various hospitals as an intensive care nurse and as a staff nurse. She substitute taught as R.N. teacher for the L.V.N. program at California Trade Technical School in Long Beach, CA in 1976. She became an administrative supervisor and a liaison nurse at Cerritos Garden Hospital in Hawaiian Gardens, CA in 1977. From 1977 through 2000 Adriana worked at ABC Unified School District as a public health school nurse, serving the community for 23 years by helping children and their families. Adriana A. Rosales was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and most of all a humanitarian. She leaves behind a brother Vicente Abarca, her son Robert, her daughter Andrea, and her two grandchildren Samantha and Gabriel. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 3- 7 pm at the Luyben Dilday Mortuary. Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10 am at St. Pancratius Church, 3519 St. Pancratius Place, Lakewood, CA 90712. (562) 634-6111
