Ada Elizabeth Ormsby

ADA  ELIZABETH ORMSBY  (nee JUNG)  Born Kusel, (West) Germany, Dec. 9, 1934, passed peacefully at her Lakewood, CA home Oct. 2, 2022, leaving behind husband WILLIAM NORMAN ORMSBY III, son WILLIAM NORMAN ORMSBY IV, grandson WILLIAM NORMAN ORMSBY V, granddaughter ALINA CHRISTINE ORMSBY, daughter-in-law LILIA LETICIA ARELLANO-ORMSBY, her brother Götz Jung in Germany, and various nieces and nephews throughout Western Europe, New Jersey, Florida, and California. Three younger brothers and a younger sister are predeceased. She met William while employed as a legal translator/paymaster for German nationals at the 807th Tactical Control Squadron, Landstuhl Air Force Base, where he was stationed as an 807th communications officer.  They married at Roman Catholic mass in Kusel on May 10, 1957 and arrived in USA, Andrews AFB in June 1958. The couple eventually settled in Long Beach in 1962 where she became employed at Farmers & Merchants Bank as a teller with special responsibility in foreign currency exchange, retiring after 20+ years tenure. Early on, she became validictorian of her citizenship class in town. Interment on Oct. 12 at Riverside National Military Cemetary with private graveside service.  Auf Wiedersehen sweetheart.
