Our beloved brother Paul Bellenbaum went to the Lord on Sunday evening, January 7, 2024, due to heart failure, he was 71 years old.
Paul played football at St. John Bosco High School, which were the best years of his life. After graduating he attended Cerritos College and earned associate degrees in Culinary Arts and Accounting. He also attended Cal State Fullerton and earned a Business Administration Degree. Paul had a passion for cooking and he prepared numerous delicious meals for family events and eventually took on the Head Chef position at the Long Beach Naval Station Officers Club. Paul also worked at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing after obtaining an Airframe and Power certification from the FAA.
Paul fished and traveled in his younger days from Alaska, Hawaii, Tahiti, Australia and to Washington D.C. with many places in between. He especially like Las Vegas and seemed to have a knack for winning at horse tracks, lottery, slot machines and even in the stock market. He was very generous and liked to laugh loudly. The family was most grateful for Paul helping our father with our mother who suffered from Alzheimers for years.
He is survived by siblings Ernie, Pauline, Rich, Mary Ann, brother-in-laws Tim, Bill and sister-in-law Marisela along with numerous nieces and nephews, Danny, Alexis, Sean, Katie, Brent, Amy, Bobby, Joanna, Patrick, Kateri, Kenny and the grands, Liam, Walker, Finn, Scarlett, Alice, Ryan, Ana, Marcella, Bonnie and Rhett.
In his youth Paul was an altar boy at Holy Family Catholic Church, 18708 Clarkdale Ave., Artesia, CA. His services will be held there Friday, February 9, 2024 at 10 am. An online Guest Book is available at www.luybendilday.com
